Meet Katie

Hi, I'm Katie, and I'm so glad you're here. My own 10-year health journey has been an intense one, spent navigating chronic illness and facing widespread systemic problems that affected every part of my body. I truly understand the constant cycle of symptoms, endless doctor's visits, and the frustration of counterproductive medications.

Sustained healing often begins with radical shifts in lifestyle—food, sleep, movement, thought patterns, and work-life balance. Embracing a functional approach, prioritizing food as medicine and significantly reducing reliance on medication, can lead to profound well-being. My transformation shaped my coaching philosophy and inspired the creation of a program designed to offer the support I believe is essential.

You might be wondering why I focus so heavily on stress, considering my myriad of health issues. As driven and passionate individuals often discover, stress can be a pervasive common thread throughout various health struggles. It doesn't just cause or worsen symptoms; it can also become a default escape mechanism, keeping one constantly busy to avoid confronting how they truly feel. Addressing stress and anxiety often becomes a crucial first step before other significant shifts in health and life can be made.

My Journey to Wylde & Well

My professional background is rooted in public health, where I spent a decade designing, implementing, and evaluating community health programs, most recently as a Health Scientist for the CDC. When I was unexpectedly impacted by the Reduction in Force, I took the opportunity to shift gears and return to more direct community engagement— moving beyond one-size-fits-all approaches and helping people understand their unique health needs. My belief in personalized care is why every program at Wylde & Well is tailored specifically to you.

As a lifelong learner, I'm committed to providing effective and comprehensive support. I hold a B.S. in Human Biology and a Masters in Public Health. I furthered my expertise with Health Coach training through the Holistic Coach Academy and am currently becoming a Certified Functional Nutrition Counselor through the Functional Nutrition Alliance. My approach blends evidence-based western science with ancient eastern wisdom, using a functional, systems-based perspective. Wherever you are on the journey, we'll work together to address the root causes and empower you to make sustainable changes for lasting wellness in both body and mind.
